A splendid temple building made of white marble.
It is a fime example of Indo-Mugal architecture, situated on King Edwats
Memotial Road, near Junagarh Fort. The temple was built by the 18th
rular of Bikaner state, Lork Ratan Singh, in 1846 A.D., It is dedicated
to Lord Krichna. The outer portion of this this temple has an ethereal
beauty. The xanctum of the temple is unique where the idol of lord
Krishna and his wife and his girl friend are fixed. The temple has very
spaciors quadrangle floor made of marble. Arcade design beside the
Quadrangle floors mades the sight very magnificent. You are recommended
to see the sight of this lovely temple.
Visiting hours of the temple. Summer Winter 7.00 A.M. to 9.30 7.15 A.M. to A.M. & 6.00 P.M. 10.00 A.M. & To 7.15 P.M. 5.00 P.M. to 6.15 P.M. Entry charges. It is free of cost. Photography charges. Free of cost Note: You may take photograph of temple building from outside and inside, but Photography of the idol is prohibited. Additional information. Just adfacent to the marble temple there is anothertemple made of red sandstone. It is also dedicated to Lord Krishna. The 19th ruler of Bikaner State built that temple, namely Lord Sardar singh. Its opening time is the same as mentioned earlier. Ratan Bihari Gardan. Both of these stone temples are stiuted in onw garden of the state times. The garden was called Ratan Bihari Gardan. The gardan is interesting. You are invited to see the farden. Junagarh fort is very close to this garden, infact; youcan see the outer portion of Junagarh fort from there. How to get to Ratan Bihari Temple and Garden. It is hardly one K.M. from the centre of the Bikaner city (old Railway station). And if you are staying in any of the hotels at the center of the Bikaner city, then you can go walking, because while going to this temple you will also cross the new shopping complex of Bikaner City. If you dont lide walking then the other suggfested why is to join the conducted sight seeing Tour organized by the Desert Tours, an independent way of visiting this temple, is to hire an Auto rickshaw (It may cost Rs. 6/- approximately for two travellers). If you want to make Bikaner city sight seeing tour mare interesting then join the city safari. (Camel tour) organized by the Desert Toures. It costs Rs. 150/- per head: included packed lonch for one day. In this city safari you can see some other interisting places of Bikaner besides the Ratan Bihari Temple.
